Laura E. Keene

Laura E. Keene is the managing partner of Beroset & Keene and practices exclusively in the area of marital and family law. Ms. Keene has been a Board Certified Marital and Family Law Lawyer since 1994 and has over 30 years of trial experience. Her family law practice includes all aspects of dissolution of marriage and modification proceedings, including alimony, child support, time-sharing and parenting, equitable distribution, prenuptial agreements, paternity, domestic violence, and contempt and enforcement actions.
Ms. Keene received her B.G.S. from the University of Iowa (1977), and her law degree from Florida State University (1980). Ms. Keene worked as assistant Staff Counsel for the Florida Bar Association (1980-1982), prosecuting attorney ethics violations. She also served as an assistant State Attorney, First Judicial Circuit of Florida (1982-1986), trying misdemeanor and felony criminal cases prior to forming Beroset & Keene.

Ms. Keene has lectured at numerous continuing legal education seminars in the area of marital and family law and has served as the chairperson of the Family Law Section of the Escambia- Santa Rosa County Bar Association, and on the Florida First Judicial Circuit Professionalism Commission from 1982 to 1986.
Ms. Keene currently serves as a Board Member of the Pace Center for Girls and is a past Board Member of the Children’s Home Society and the Pensacola Historical Society. She is a past president of the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association (1991-1992), having also served as treasurer, secretary, and vice president. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar.
